Project Overview
Interviews and presentations can be stressful, even for highly capable individuals. Many people know what they want to say, but struggle with confidence, pressure, or simply not knowing how to improve their communication skills in a structured way.

I wanted to explore how AI could create a more supportive and iterative coaching experience, one that gives users actionable guidance, helps them understand what needs improvement, and allows them to practice repeatedly without feeling judged.
Rather than treating communication feedback as a one-time evaluation, the goal was to design an experience centered around continuous improvement, comparative learning, and confidence-building over time.
Product Vision
The product was designed as an AI-assisted communication coaching platform focused on helping users improve through structured practice, actionable feedback, and measurable progress over time.

Users can practice interview and presentation scenarios, receive AI-generated feedback across areas such as clarity, structure, confidence, and relevance, and compare multiple attempts to better understand how their communication improves over time.
Instead of treating AI as a one-time scoring tool, the experience was designed around continuous practice and reflection, giving users the ability to retry, compare responses, and gradually build stronger communication habits through guided feedback and progress tracking.

The experience also explored guided exercises tailored to specific speaking patterns such as filler word usage, pacing, and structure, helping users actively practice improvement techniques rather than simply reviewing feedback.

A strong focus was also placed on AI transparency throughout the experience. Confidence indicators, transcript highlights, and contextual feedback were introduced to help users better understand how feedback was generated and where AI was involved, creating a coaching experience that felt more understandable and trustworthy.
Designing the Experience Architecture
Since the experience was centered around continuous improvement rather than one-time feedback, a big part of the design process focused on creating clear learning loops that encouraged repeated practice, reflection, and measurable progress over time.
A lot of the UX thinking went into how users move between recording responses, reviewing feedback, comparing attempts, and applying improvements in a way that felt natural, supportive, and easy to follow across multiple sessions.
Core Experience Flow
The overall flow was designed to create a natural connection between practicing, reviewing feedback, and improving over time.
A big part of the UX thinking focused on how users move between recording responses, reviewing AI-generated insights, comparing attempts, and applying feedback in a way that feels smooth and easy to follow without breaking momentum.
The experience was also structured to make improvement feel more visible and actionable by giving users clear direction on what to work on next through guided feedback, targeted practice exercises, and repeated attempts over time.

Recording Experience Flow
The recording experience was designed to make practice sessions feel simple, focused, and easy to move through. Since users would likely repeat scenarios multiple times, the flow needed to feel lightweight and intuitive without adding unnecessary steps or distractions.
A lot of the UX thinking focused on how recording states, system feedback, and guidance were communicated so users could stay focused on practicing while still feeling supported and in control throughout each attempt.

Feedback Experience Flow
The feedback experience was designed to help users quickly understand how they performed and where they needed improvement without overwhelming them with too much information at once.
A big part of the UX thinking focused on how AI feedback was organized and presented, surfacing key communication areas such as clarity, structure, confidence, and relevance first, while supporting those insights with transcript highlights, contextual evidence, and practical guidance.
The goal was to make the experience feel less like a scoring system and more like a coaching tool by helping users understand not only what needed work, but why certain communication patterns were affecting their responses and what they could improve moving forward.

Comparison Experience Flow
The comparison experience was designed to help users see how their communication evolved across multiple attempts instead of viewing each session as separate feedback in isolation.

The flow focused on making improvements easy to recognize by showing changes across areas such as clarity, structure, confidence, and relevance while also helping users spot patterns that continued to appear in their responses over time.
Side-by-side comparisons, progress insights, and contextual feedback were introduced to create a stronger sense of progression and encourage users to keep refining their responses through repeated practice.

AI-Assisted Exploration & UX Refinement
This phase of the project focused on using AI-generated concepts as a starting point for early exploration while refining the experience through UX decisions around hierarchy, interaction flow, clarity, and usability.
Recording Experience
Exploring recording states and reducing friction during repeated practice sessions.
Reserch and Insights
Users needed more trust during transactions
Bidding, purchasing, and minting NFTs involved irreversible blockchain actions, increasing hesitation and uncertainty.
Design Response:

IFocused on transaction clarity, validation states, pricing visibility, and review steps before publishing or checkout.
Creators needed stronger visibility and discovery
Artists struggled with standing out in crowded marketplaces and wanted better ways to showcase their work and build audience engagement.
Design Response:

Introduced feed-based discovery, creator-focused layouts, hashtags, categories, and community interaction features.
Blockchain concepts created onboarding friction
Many users were interested in NFTs but felt intimidated by wallet setup, transaction terminology, and unfamiliar Web3 interactions.
Design Response:

Simplified onboarding flows, progressive disclosure, and guided wallet connection experiences.

Marketplace complexity needed simplification
NFT platforms often overwhelmed users with technical information and inconsistent navigation patterns.
Created structured workflows, scalable navigation systems, and clearer information hierarchy across marketplace experiences.
Users expected social interaction
Users were looking for more than buying and selling, they wanted interaction, discussion, and creator engagement similar to modern social platforms.
Designed feed interactions, discussion forums, and community-oriented engagement experiences.
Progressive Onboarding for Creator Identity & Discovery
The onboarding experience was designed to feel lightweight and flexible rather than forcing users through a long setup process upfront. Users could move through profile setup, interests, creator discovery, and wallet connection at their own pace, with the option to skip steps and come back later.
Wallet setup wasn’t required during onboarding and only became necessary when users wanted to place a bid, purchase an NFT, or publish a listing. This helped reduce early friction and made the platform feel more approachable for users who were new to Web3 products.
Highlights

Personalized Social Discovery Feed
The home feed was designed as a discovery-driven social space where users could explore creators, collections, and conversations through a more personalized experience. Instead of focusing purely on marketplace activity, the feed emphasized engagement through liking, commenting, saving, and following creators.

The experience also helped artists gain visibility, grow their audience, and connect with other creators through shared interests, content interaction, and community activity.
